Domesticated Disputes is a one-woman play featuring Marya Folinsbee!

Evelyn is a Perfect Housewife, stewing in her own repressed juices. Unconsciously frustrated by the dreary duties of domestic life, she discovers, in the course of her chores, deep, mysterious, primal urges; struggle as she might to stay spic & span, shit gets dirty. A one-woman play in a surreal, neo-bouffon universe, Domesticated Disputes explores the wild impulses lurking under the carpet of even the most perfect home. !

Marya Folinsbee is an actor, clown, playwright, facilitator, and mom, living and working on unceded Sinixt Territory in the Slocan Valley. She is a founding member of Valley Gems Theatre, a community theatre troupe based in Vallican, and has performed in, and helped design, productions with the Gems over the last seven years.  In 2018-2019, Marya, along with her friend & collaborator Martina Avis, started Material Theatre, a modest little backwoods theatre company, and toured their original show Be/Longing around the Kootenays.  Marya loves to do clown and theatre facilitation with adults & youth, writes & devises original works, performs as her alter ego, Miss Marmot, and is interested in ways we can use art for social change and collective (r)evolution.

Adult content: The show includes sexuality, pseudo-nudity, and other grown-up things. Not suitable for children under the age of 16.
