The new rock musical, Fastlane to Paradise, is a Faustian tale set in a distorted contemporary society. The lead protagonist Edward (Michael Calladine) is a street musician that sells his soul to the Devil (Stelio Calagias) in return for instant fame and the chance at love with music journalist Gretchen (Lindsay Clague).

This original musical theatre work, produced by composer/author Doug Jamieson, features live music and melds a variety of styles ranging from hip hop to contemporary choral, and opera to rock. With an all-star cast of Nelson's celebrated theatre veterans and a score of notable emerging talent, this PG show is certain to entertain.

Brought to the Capitol stage by the new Kootenay Musical Theatre Society, Fastlane to Paradise is directed by Avi Phillips, produced by Richard Rowberry, with musical direction by Doug Jamieson and choreography by Stelio Calagias.
