Les Belles Soeurs, the classic iconic play by Quebec playwright Michel Tremblay shines a light into the kitchens of marginalized, French Canadian working-class women of the late 60’s. The lives of fifteen women in their element are filled with the drudgery of child-bearing, homemaking, jealousy, love and poverty. Directed by Pat Henman, fifteen Nelson performers will be showcased in the reader-theatre presentation of Les Belles Soeurs.
