Capitol Theatre PERFORMANCE ON SCREEN National Theatre LIVE

Tickets: Adult $15 / Student $10 The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time returns to selected international cinemas in 2018.

Captured live from the Apollo Theatre in London's West End, this critically acclaimed production directed by Marianne Elliot (Angels in America, War Horse) has astonished audiences around the world and has received seven Olivier and five Tony Awards®.

Christopher, fifteen years old, stands beside Mrs Shears’ dead dog. It has been speared with a garden fork, it is seven minutes after midnight and Christopher is under suspicion. He records each fact in the book he is writing to solve the mystery of who murdered Wellington. He has an extraordinary brain, exceptional at maths while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched and he distrusts strangers. But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.

Again, this is an incredible opportunity to see the possibilities of a large, state-of-the-art theatre, right here at home in the Capitol Theatre. Henry Hitchens of GO London describes the setting: "The complexities and peculiarities of his worldview are expressed through Bunny Christie’s magical design. Evoking the strange algebra of Christopher’s thought processes, it allows us to see him as if from the inside. The walls are his personal storage cabinets, yet as the set is spattered with imagery it comes to resemble a genius’s laboratory." Check out the trailer below for a glimpse at what they've created.

"This appealing and ingenious adaptation of Mark Haddon’s cult novel is lit up by Luke Treadaway’s vivid central performance. As Christopher Boone, a 15-year-old with Asperger syndrome and an unusual talent for maths, he is superb from first to last, mixing pedantic defiance with a gut-churning vulnerability. - GO London

"Dazzlingly inventive...a beautiful, eloquent show." - Evening Standard

"Nothing short of a triumph." - Variety
